CrossPoint started in August 2005. Throughout our history, we have focused on sharing the Gospel and making disciples in Starkville, at Mississippi State University, and around the world. We are a staff-led church overseen by Elders, served by Deacons, and which expects every member to be actively living for Jesus and advancing God's Kingdom.

Pastor Scott Cappleman
Scott Cappleman grew up in Houlka, Mississippi. He earned a bachelor's degree from Mississippi College and two master's degrees from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He and his wife, Kelly, have been married for 30 years. They have three children: Carly Beth, Eli, and Clancy. Scott has served as the pastor at CrossPoint since the church started in August 2005. His passion is preaching and teaching God's Word.
